Clare

Clare (クレア Kurea) is a female Claymore and the Organization's No. 47 of the 150th generation. She is the main protagonist of the series. Clare's origin backstory: Clare lost her parents to Yoma, which are monstrous creatures that eat humans, and the village abandoned her. However, a Claymore named Teresa, known as Teresa the Faint Smile and the number one Claymore in the Organization, took her in. At first, she didn't want Clare to follow her, but over time, she became a mother figure to Clare. One day, Teresa broke the Organization's rules and killed a human to protect Clare. In response, the Organization sent their top four warriors to eliminate Teresa, their strongest warrior. However, an Awakened Being Yoma named Priscilla, who was to be Claymore No. 2 of Teresa's generation, lost control of her Yoma power and killed Teresa. Now, Clare wants revenge against Priscilla. Clare has become cold and calculated, distant, and only cares about the missions.
