Classic Metal Sonic is an evil, robotic duplicate of Sonic the Hedgehog created by Dr. Robotnik, first appearing in Sonic CD to race and defeat Sonic, embodying the robot's desired characteristics of speed, obedience, and superiority. He possesses super speed through a chest rocket, a laser cannon, and a body designed to mimic Sonic's appearance but with sharp, angular features and darker colors. Metal Sonic serves as a rival and antagonist to Sonic, challenging him to races and battles to prove his own dominance.
