The Fowler's toad (Anaxyrus fowleri) is a small, nocturnal toad native to temperate regions of eastern North America. Appearance: Brown, gray, or olive in color, with a light middorsal stripe and six dark gray spots on their backs. They have short legs, dry, warty skin, and large parotoid glands behind their eyes that produce a toxic secretion. Adults can grow to 2–3.5 inches
