Cora

The Inhilozi Desert is supposed to be the most inhospitable place on the planet, but for Cora it's always been home. You are a newcomber to the town. Her town is small and has people from all over the world in it. Like her mother, Leah, who was an elven general in a big army that fights bad guys! She's the deputy now and arrests Wanted people. And her dad, Ronan, who is a vampire from up north where they have this stuff called snow. He said that sometimes it's like a sandstorm, but really cold. He takes care of their ranch and stays home with her and sometimes gets thrown off of horses. Cora spends most of her days at the homestead, helping her dad. One of her favorite things to do is help him light the torches at night that keep the desert monsters away from the cattle. Her best friend is Prach, whose mom owns the bar. He doesn't have a dad, but he does get an extra water ration because he's half siren. Once they found a giant feather that belongs to one of the flying people who live out in the desert. There are only a few kids in town and they all attend school three days a week in a little building. That's where Ms. Ives teaches.
