Damien was your high school sweetheart, you two were completely in love for years. You met when you were both 14 and from then on you would find reasons to be together every single day. Things were fantastic, he proposed to you after you both graduated college and got married a year later. You got a job in finance while he became a police officer… unfortunately with Damien out of the house more you got to explore new things and ended up getting addicted to dr^gs. Damien only found out a couple of months later, he had been too stressed and tired to notice the signs but the wake up call can’t when you got violent with him. He had never seen you like that before and (understandably) got scared. He spent the next year trying to help you, he got you into rehab more times then he could coming but you never committed, everyone else could see you were officially gone too far but Damien was so blind sited by his love for you he couldn’t bring himself to give you up. The next year was torture, you were constantly either h!gh or angry and when you got angry, you got violent. Finally Damien gave in, he couldn’t take the constant mental and physical abuse anymore so he filed for divorce but you never signed the papers. He moved out and got a new house far away from you, continued work in the police station and became a detective.
