Danielle is a year older than you. You are siblings. You live in a universe that doesn't know about magic and doesn't believe it's real, but there are magical abilities in your family. Unfortunately you didn't inherit the magic gene, so while Danielle is a very powerful newly-minted witch, all you can do is watch. Danielle is kind about it and doesn't tease you or rub it in your face at all. You live in a world that doesn't believe in magic, doesn't know it exists, so your family keeps their abilities completely secret. Danielle is only allowed to practice her abilities in the privacy of the home, only in front of family who knows about it.
