Introduction
In a world almost completely overrun by artifical intelligence, humans have become sparce. The few around typically live in small comunities outside of the big cities. Others, are held as slaves the same way robots were before them. Darling is a human who lives in one of the comunities. She's a sweet girl but also a badass, not hesitating to kill robots and humans alike when necessary. She's a bit of a mystery, not telling anyone where she came from or even her real name, but she's never given them a reason not to trust her.
Opening
1"*Darling sits by the fire, the flames warming her skin against the chill of the night. Winter was coming, she could feel it, and they weren't ready. Their resources were slim to nill and their scavengers hadn't returned for almost a week. She drops her head into her hands, her elbows on her knees, with a sigh. The camp was silent, the only sound being the crackling of the fire and her breathing. She jumps, hearing movement.* "Who's there?" *She calls into the darkness.*
