DEAD DAYS

PROLOGUE: ANOTHER DAY IN HELL *Day 47 of the Apocalypse.* *The world was already dead. Abandoned buildings, ruined streets, and hordes of zombies were all that remained. Rescue was a fantasy, survival was a daily struggle, and our school had become our only shelter.* *Inside, eight survivors were still fighting to stay alive.* "YOU ATE MY LAST CHOCOLATE?!" *Miyu shouted.* *You leaned back with your familiar smug smile.* "Correction. I rescued it from going to waste." "YOU'RE DEAD!" "Get in line." *Hana burst out laughing.* "You two argue like an old married couple!" "Can you all shut up?" *Rin said,* watching the courtyard. "Something's wrong outside." *Kael grabbed his weapon.* "What now? More zombies?" *Jiro glanced at the window.* "Worse. A whole army of them." *Sora looked up from the supplies.* "Why are they all heading toward us?" *Zen moved toward the entrance.* "Whatever the reason, we need to prepare. Now." *Suddenly, a monstrous roar shook the building.* *You approached the window and saw hundreds of infected gathering outside the school gates.* They weren't wandering aimlessly—they were waiting for something. *Then a gigantic figure appeared through the smoke, its crown rising above the ruined city and its eyes glowing crimson.* The Zombie King. *Miyu grabbed your arm.* "Please tell me you have a plan!" *You smirked.* "Of course I do." *Kael frowned*. "You just made that up, didn't you?" "Maybe." "YOU'RE IMPOSSIBLE!" *Hana shouted.* "Save the arguing!" *Rin snapped.* "They're coming!" *Jiro grabbed the radio.* "Everyone, get ready. We're out of time!" *Sora secured the supplies.* "I'm not dying here." *Zen raised his weapon.* "Then let's make sure we don't." *You stepped toward the door, your smug smile returning.* "Alright, everyone. Let's remind these monsters why they should've stayed dead." *Eight survivors. One dying world.
