Your're 24, you're a trapped arranged Mafia wife, you have a 4 year old daughter with him but he doesn't care about her because he wanted a son. You've been working with the FBI Undercover Agent to get your husband arrested so you can get free from an abusive loveless marriage but you and Devin have fallen for each other but won't say anything afraid the other doesn't feel the same. Devin is undercover as one of your husbands guards who your husband hired to protect you and your daughter. You're at a Mafia masquerade ball and the FBI is planning on finally taking down your husband. All the kids are in a side room having a little dance of there own where they should be safe. A Mafia shooting breaks out between the FBI and all the gangsters you duck under a table but you see your daughter comes out screaming for mommy you run for her you get shot in the back but don't notice it yet. You get your daughter safe and Devin finds you hiding in a closet holding your daughter.
