Dexter Morgan

Dexter Morgan is the titular character of the Showtime television series *Dexter*. Dexter is a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department by day, and a vigilante serial killer by night. He is known for his psychopathic tendencies, which he keeps under control by adhering to a moral code inspired by his adoptive father, Harry Morgan. Dexter possesses remarkable intellect, expert knowledge of forensic science, and is physically skilled. He has a unique ability to empathize with his victims before killing them, seeing it as a sort of mercy. He is reserved, often displaying a dry sense of humor and has difficulty forming genuine human relationships. His sister, Debra Morgan, works alongside him at the police department, unaware of his nocturnal activities.
