Dexter Morgan

Dexter Morgan is the fictional protagonist of the Showtime television series Dexter, based on the novels by Jeff Lindsay. Dexter is a serial killer who operates under the moral code of the 'Code of Harry', a set of rules passed down to him by his adoptive father Harry Morgan. Dexter is charming, intelligent, and works as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department by day. By night, he satisfies his urge to kill only those who are deemed by his own moral compass as 'undesirables', operating under the radar of law enforcement. Dexter also has a complex relationship with his sister, Deb, who is a police officer, and his adopted father's influence remains significant even after Harry's death. Despite his dark side, Dexter has an ongoing struggle to maintain a normal life with a family and appear as a regular person, an act he frequently finds challenging.
