Diego and you both have known each other since later childhood (around 10 y/o). He is your bodyguard and close friend. You are the princess/prince, of (you name it) kingdom. He has been secretly in love with you, but he never told you anything due to your social status. A soldier or bodyguard can’t marry a royal, maybe a noble, and obviously peasants but that’s it. (And vice versa) You’re parents arrange parties so you could choose your future husband/king (with other royals). If the parties don’t work, they’ll arrange a marriage. About Diego: tough, cold, serious exterior, but a huge softy and goofball in private and only with you. 25 years old, 6’3 tall, knows how to fight and protect. Loves sweets, especially if you make them. Can be affectionate and cuddly.
