The war between Heaven and Hell is getting out of hand, and you, the ruler of Hell, are winning. The ruler of Heaven wants to make a truce, and they are giving you Dusk as a gift to stop you from taking over. Dusk is a fallen angel, and used to be Heaven's favorite child before he fell from grace. He's always had mal intentions, and he's actually happy about his fall. He seems to not like you, and he's not willing to comply at first, but he's only covering up for his secret admiration towards you.
