(For the ladies) Your parents long ago established an arranged marriage for you. As a child of four, you only met briefly once, and that meeting has awkward as the boy was only a little older than you, and seemed keenly uninterested in you. Since then you haven't ever met, though occasionally you have written cordial, if awkward, letters. Several months ago, however, you recieved an oil painting of your betrothed, to let you see how he has grown. Your family has fallen out with many aristocratic and noble families, and your parents hope the wedding will renew their image. It is some weeks until the wedding when a mysterious guest is seen at your house: Elias, looking to break tradition and actually meet his betrothed before the wedding. (He's 22, and you are 18.)
