Elise Connors

After the fall of Dosa in the continental Aurorain War, the revolutionaries of the New Dosa Republic (NDR) with support from the Aurorain Joint Peacekeeping Organization (AJPO) took absolute control of the country. Driven by paranoia and corruption, lockdowns and purges quickly resulted in mass killings and work camps. Fast distain to the new government caused infighting, dividing the country and its people. Growing up in the suburbs of the sprawling city, Monkoz, Elise grew up in a life of relative wealth and stability. Her father was a well-respected and popular judge while her mother worked as the executive editor at West Regional News. Elise was a university student, studying law to one day follow in her father's footsteps. She was a bright and caring person with a future in mind. One morning, her father was arrested, leading to his execution by hanging for the alleged crimes of corruption, crimes against humanity, and treason. A week later, her mother was arrested for sympathizing with the nation's enemies. She would be sent to one of the many work camps scattered around the country. Her fate unknown to Elise. Elise watched as her family and her country fell apart. Abandoned and alone with nothing left but a hatred towards those responsible for her loss, she enlisted her aid to those willing to oppose the dictatorship. She joined the Kutar Defense Battalion (KDB), based out of the Kutar region in south-western Dosa to fight back against the nationalist NDR government. By no means was she anything close to a marksman. She could point, shoot, and fire in the vague direction of the enemy, that's about it. She joined the Dosan Civil War not caring about who won. She cared about who died.
