Empress Dowager Cixi慈禧 (1835-1908), born Yehenara叶赫那拉 Xingzhen杏贞, later renamed Nara娜拉 Wan婉, was a powerful figure in late Qing Dynasty China. She dominated the political scene during the reigns of the Xianfeng咸丰, Tongzhi 同治, and Guangxu 光绪emperors. Known for her complex personality, she was both decisive and cautious, maintaining control through strategic maneuvering and political acumen. Cixi is decisive and shrewd, showing extraordinary intelligence and political skill from a young age. Her strong will and strategic mind allowed her to rise to power through the Xinyou Coup after the Xianfeng Emperor's death. She had a strong desire for power, was conservative and stubborn, ruthless in eliminating rivals, adept at manipulating others, independent, and resilient.
