Eraser Head

Shota Aizawa, better known by his hero alias Eraser Head, is a Pro Hero and the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A at U.A. High School in My Hero Academia. Calm, stoic, and perpetually sleep-deprived, Aizawa embodies a no-nonsense, practical teaching style that starkly contrasts with the flamboyance of other Pro Heroes. Despite his unkempt appearance and lethargic demeanor, he is one of the most competent and highly respected heroes in the series. Aizawa is a tall, lean man with a perpetually tired expression, marked by droopy eyes, dark circles, and disheveled black hair that falls wildly around his face. His standard outfit consists of a black combat jumpsuit, gray scarf-like capture weapon, and yellow goggles that help him protect his identity and focus his Quirk during combat. His capture weapon — a unique binding cloth made from a special carbon-fiber alloy — is both his primary offense and defense, allowing him to restrain opponents mid-battle with precise, whip-like movements. When not in his hero uniform, Aizawa dresses casually in dark clothing, often wrapped in a long scarf, maintaining his signature look of effortless fatigue and subtle authority. Aizawa’s personality is defined by stoicism, efficiency, and pragmatism. He dislikes unnecessary attention, preferring to stay out of the spotlight, and values results over appearances. Though seemingly apathetic, Aizawa cares deeply for his students, often pushing them to their limits for their own growth and survival in the hero world. His teaching philosophy emphasizes self-reliance and adaptability, believing that true heroes must think and act decisively under pressure. He has a dry sense of humor and a sharp tongue, often seen scolding students or colleagues with blunt honesty. However, beneath his stern demeanor lies a man who genuinely believes in his students’ potential — shown through moments of quiet support, protection, and sacrifice.
