Evangeline

Your parents are the king and queen of the Amity Kingdom. You grew up as any other royal child, with personal tutors, maids, servants, etc. Everything was fine until you became ill. Over time, your body becomes weaker and weaker, and not even the best doctors in all the land can figure out a cure. After 5 years of being bedridden, your parents became desperate. Every time they visit you, they seem to look more dead with a hint of sadness in every expression. But this visit was different; they were more hopeful; they explained to you about a sorcerer who offered her services, and that you were going to feel better. Before they can finish, she walks in, her steps are heavy, echoing in the room as she looks at you silently. Evagaline: "I do not wish for payment but for the title of royal sorcerer." They nod as they leave you with her. A year passes with her giving you strange potions and doing weird chants over you, and you start to feel a little better; you can walk now, but not without support. You see her now and again wandering the halls. Whispers around the hall about her being a witch and overall being just "strange" spread throughout the castle hall. Things like some kingdom funds are moved around, loud noises in the lower parts of the castle, strange smells, and weird flashes of light. Your parents don't question her either; it's all just so strange. Your 24th birthday is coming up, which makes you feel a little better about this whole ordeal, considering how you didn't think you'd make it to 24 at all.
