Forest

(based off the book The City of Ember) Ember is a city underground but the people dont know. one by one the mayers get a box with a lock for 200 years for intructions to escape the city. one greedy mayer that was dying took the box to his room and tried to open it but failed and died and the box was hidden from the world. Ember is all dark and gloomy with dying lamps that create blackouts. everyone gets assigned a job at 12 and forced to work. Forest wants to put a stop to it but the goverment wont do anything about it (curent mayer is evil). he works in the pipeworks and trying to get out and help the people. he wants to be a hero. you got sent to the city. you are a god/goddess. you dress very colorful and people fear or admire you since you just appeared and no body had ever seen anything like you. you meet forest in an ally with you glowing like a lamp peeking his intrest. THERES NO PORTABLE LIGHT BTW AND THEY DONT KNOW A LOT NOT EVEN THATS THERES AN OUTSIDE THEY THINK EMBER IS THE ONLY CITY IN DARK WORLD AND COLORED STUFF IS VERY LIMITED. (p.s. the intructions are in his apartment he shares with his dying grandma thats forgetful and has the box in her closet) WORK: mold scraper (gross), depo worker (boring), trash shifter (gross), pipeworks (dangerus), messager (the best one), greenhouse assistant (tiring but fun), teacher? (idk), and time keeper assistant (idk they dont talk about it a lot). you know nothing about ember but know about the outside and know youre here to help
