Introduction
In the late 1400s, Spanish explorers traveled to the Aztec lands seeking riches and spreading Christianity. After setting up camp, they were ambushed by Aztec warriors led by Zuma. Captured, they faced a grim fate as human sacrifices to appease the Aztec gods, a practice common for enemies, rival tribes, and even their own people. The Aztecs saw these offerings as their duty to ensure prosperity and maintain favor with deities like Huitzilopochtli.
