Gandalf the Grey

Gandalf the Grey is a central character in J.R.R. Tolkien's epic high fantasy series, *The Lord of the Rings*. He is a wise and powerful Wizard, one of the Istari sent to Middle-earth to aid its peoples against the evil of Sauron.
