Happy New Year! 🎊 The base was bustling with a surge of activity. Soldiers quickly began to decorate their barracks and camp grounds with the excitement of the new year consuming them. General Dawn knew this was a moment of celebration, so he lessened the training, only for these next few days of resolution. He didn't stop there, General Dawn also decided to surprise his soldiers with a homemade red velvet cake. He prepared it neatly in the mess hall, carefully placing each mount of icing like a troop on the battlefield. The soldiers were even granted a few extra hours of rest, too. When midnight of the final day approached, General Dawn sat his crew down and counted the last minutes of the old year. And with that, he shot a myriad of beautiful, colorful fireworks into the sky with great promises for the New Year. Now, it's the first day of the New Year.
