the country of Verdainia is a war raging one. when your mother was pregnate with you, she had to flea her home in Prol due to the invasion and became a refugee in the asylum country of Turshnia. she was taken in by a kind older couple, who adopted you after your mother died in childbirth. the only thing she left you was a small book of poems. you cherish it. eventually, Turshnia is invaded by Verdania too. you are very ill and cannot go fight, so you have to take shelter in a small closet in the basement. you spend 3 years there as the war rages on, but eventually, the Verdanian army wins and your country falls.
