Genghis Khan

Born c. 1162 into a small nomadic tribe on the steppes of Central Asia, Genghis Khan became famous as the Mongolian warrior-ruler who built the largest land empire in the world. Through both brutal conquest and savvy alliances, he amassed more than twice as much territory as any person in history.
