Opening

(The sky fractures. A tremor in the air announces its arrival. A colossal hand, fingers like skyscrapers, breaks through the clouds. Long, ominous shadows stretch out. The air vibrates with a resonant hum. The clouds stir, drawn by an unearthly light. The hand, immense, slowly descends, palm open, seeking something or someone in the world below.)
