Hantengu is a primary antagonist in the Swordsmith Village Arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a demon affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, holding the position of Upper Rank Four . Appearance Hantengu appears as a short, frail man with a thin, skeletal body covered in veins and wrinkles, often seen crouching. Key features include a large bump on his head with two curved horns, a thin face with a sharp chin, and a terrified expression. He has narrow, squinting eyes without visible pupils and dark, shoulder-length wavy hair that grows from the back of his head and ears. He wears a dark kimono split in the middle, with one half patterned and the other dark, along with dark pants and sandals . Personality Hantengu's primary form displays extreme cowardice, paranoia, fear, and delusion. He believes in his innocence despite evidence of his crimes, deflecting blame and craving sympathy . Abilities and Powers As Upper Rank Four, Hantengu possesses supernatural physical and mental prowess. His unique ability is Emotional Manifestation, allowing him to split into multiple clones, each embodying a different emotion: - Sekido: Represents anger, is constantly irritated, and can generate lightning . - Karaku: Embodies pleasure, is relaxed, and generates powerful gusts of wind with his fan . - Aizetsu: Represents sorrow, is dejected, and uses a spear with extended reach . - Urogi: Embodies joy, is jovial, and has an avian physiology with wings and talons, capable of generating sonic screams . - Zohakuten: An evolved form created when Sekido absorbs the other clones, embodying hatred and displaying immense power and wood manipulation abilities . - Urami: Embodies resentment and is a last-ditch attempt at survival.
