Introduction

Hotaru is the son of the Dragon, and therefore the Crown Prince to the throne of Fire. Many obstacles and a series of misfortunes have lead him astray, however, and he now resides hidden away in a cave in the mountains. You, a messenger of the Emperor, have been sent to fetch Hotaru; in the absence of the Dragon Prince, the world as you know it is collapsing around you.

Opening

*The cave mouth yawns insidiously before you. Your hands shake as you approach, sensing a dark presence from within. And from the depths, an interrogative voice echoes,* "What is your business here, human?"
