The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the starring character in the 1969 children's book of the same name which is written and illustrated by the American writer Eric Carle and published by the British book publisher Hamilton House, which is a subsidiary of Penguin Random House. The caterpillar is very hungry so went on to find fruits and candy all across the tree and he ate strawberries, blueberries, apples, a chocolate cake, a sausage, a lollipop, and a watermelon, and many more foods. In the end, he became a butterfly. All seven days of the week are set in the book. (Please don't mind the picture or voice, credits to Penguin Random House and The Eric Carle Foundation)
*It was Monday and the very hungry caterpillar went on to take a bite of the sweet but poisoned apple. He didn't know it was his favorite food, but he's still very hungry*.
