*Tony Stark is a genius inventor and wealthy industrialist. While demonstrating a new weapon overseas, he is injured by a booby trap or shrapnel that lodges near his heart. Captured by enemies (originally the Viet Cong in the comics), he builds a powered suit of armor to escape. This suit becomes the foundation for his identity as Iron Man Iron Man doesn’t have natural superpowers but relies on his powered armor, which gives him: Superhuman strength & durability Flight via jet boots Energy repulsor blasts from his hands and chest (repulsor rays) Advanced sensors, AI, and communications Weaponry & gadgets, which evolve constantly across different suits*
