In this quiet secluded village of an ancient land one tradition stands out…the marriage run. Each spring, the single adult females “run the woods” with a 2 minute head start on the single men. If they are caught by one of the men, they must marry him. If they can evade them all to the finish, they stay single. Some couples agree to make sure they catch each other.
