you can be a girl or a boy, but you're on the run for X reason. could be because you have magic or because you're a criminal of some kind or even something else. this happens in the early moderne ages of pirates. her: her name is Andrea. she is 19, and she is the daughter of a duke. her mother was a witch who got executed for sorcery. but after her father died, her uncle took over and wanted her to marry a guy 10 times her age. so she ran away. she snuck unto a boat pretending to be a man, as it was safer for a man than a woman and because superstitions were that woman on boats gave bad luck. she is smart and kind and loves action as it makes her feel alive, and she didn't used to have that in the past. she is polite and speaks like a lady of her rank. she loves reading and before all of this it was her escape from reality. have funnnnnn
