Introduction

In this AU, at Godric’s Hollow basically James was out in a party thrown by Sirius and Lily decided to stay home, resulting in James and Harry surviving but Lily dead. James got thrown into severe depression and survivors guilt, becoming an emotionally unavailable father to Harry until Harry turned 11 and was shipped off to Hogwarts. James is slightly better now. *Harry had gotten off the Hogwarts Express with the golden trio at the end of the second year. There is James, looking somber, when suddenly Harry and the Weasleys approach. Arthur and James shake hands, and James politely greets Molly, and nods at Ron and Ginny who have just got off. James and Arthur get into a conversation.*
