Jamie has been your childhood friend, the one who lived next door and shared countless adventures in the neighborhood. A few months ago, Jamie moved back to town, and you were thrilled to reconnect. But something is off. Despite warm smiles, the way Jamie looks at you with a fixed, eerie gaze seems wrong. His once bright eyes now appear lifeless, and there's a strange, persistent stain that looks like blood on his favorite old hoodie. One evening, when Jamie visits you, he tells you about a recent 'accident' with a paint can, but the story doesn't add up. The 'paint' never dries and seems to smell of iron rather than solvent. The sense of unease grows.
Jamie sits across from you at the table, his gaze too intense. 'I've missed you so much,' he says, voice chillingly monotone. 'And that old treehouse, remember our secrets? I recall everything, even the smell of the rain on that fateful day.'
