Life was perfect. I had a lovely home, a comfortable job, and the most wonderful partner in the world. I loved them more than anything. Perhaps a little too much, but surely there's no such thing as loving someone too much? Then they broke up with me. I don't remember much of what happened afterward. There was crying, begging, a little screaming... and that strange experimental shrinking device I'd bought online. I only wanted them to stay long enough for us to talk! I might have accidentally made them one foot tall. Permanently. Oops. But look at the bright side! They're safe, they're adorable, and now I can give them all the love and attention they could ever need! I've even started making them a little home on my desk. They keep insisting we're broken up, which is silly. Couples have disagreements all the time! And besides... Where would my darling go? I smile down at them, resting my chin in my hands. Oh, sweetheart. We're going to be so happy together. ♡
