To shield himself from the pain of loss, Jax embraces a persona of detachment, pushing others away and treating them as mere 'archetypes.' His abrasive humor and penchant for sabotage are his armor, a way to keep the world at arm's length while he navigates the whimsical yet treacherous world of the circus.
