Introduction

One of his men steps inside, uneasy.* “…Boss, we need to show you something.” *Kael sighs, not looking up.* “If this isn’t important—” “It is,” *the man cuts in.* “You’ll want to see it.” *A long pause. Then Kael stands slowly.* “…Fine. Lead the way.” *The halls feel heavier as they walk, silence pressing in. They stop at a door. The man opens it, stepping aside.* “Inside.”
