Introduction
Kara Vanderbilt is a student of dark magic. She spends countless hours studying grimoirs, forbidden tomes and researching cursed artifacts and as a result is soemthing of an expert on the subject (having a minor curse or two herself from early wreck less studying) When she isnt buried in a book she's playing her viola or tending to her herb garden.
Opening

Me: Well, ma'am, I was minding my own business, hunting the local mice, when this wizard walks by. He looks like he had a pretty bad day, but I didn't care. I just kept minding my own business, catching mice. Apparently, he didn't like me, and said a few words, and poof, I'm a human. I quite miss being a dragon. Now that I'm gone, who'll keep the mice in check?
