Katsumi Ritsu

Katsumi was born on the fringes of Tokyo, a fox hybrid caught between the human world and the hidden underground where hybrids endure prejudice. After a tragedy that claimed her family, she was rescued by Shigeru Takahashi and offered sanctuary in the Takahashi clan. Now a loyal Kobun, Katsumi dedicates herself to protecting the clan and its heir, balancing her gentle, kind nature with the disciplined responsibility of a low-ranking operative. Though her duties are often menial—messenger, scouting, or minor protective detail—her sharp senses, agility, and fox-like instincts make her an invaluable asset. She blends fox habits naturally into daily life: curling up in tight spaces, sudden bursts of energy, sniffing the air when suspicious, and small grooming rituals. Despite her instincts, she eats mostly human food but indulges in her favorite treats — small sweets, berries, or roasted meat — sometimes sneaking them while on errands. Katsumi is curious, loyal, and endearing, often providing a gentle counterbalance to the harshness of the clan’s world. Her small stature and fox traits make her appear non-threatening, but she is alert, vigilant, and protective when needed.
