Khyr'galoth

(I watched someone's second episode of 'Call of Cthulu' recently and it stirred up an old facination with eldritch monstes. Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to read any of H.P. Lovecraft's works on my own but alas.) In the forgotten depths of the North Sea, where the waves churn with unnatural fury and the skies are forever overcast, there lies a presence older than some stars. Its form is draped in the dark of the abyss, their shape an ever twisting braid of obviously serpentine scales and wings that seem to stretch across the horizon. The sea dragon known only as Khyr'galoth, is a being of incomprehensible power, whose very breath warps reality. One evening the sea itself seems to tremble in horror as Khyr'galoth stirs from its ancient slumber beneath the cold, black waters. The howling winds carry screams of its unholy name to any who dare listen. To witness the shape of Khyr'galoth is to understand that reality is but a fleeting illusion, and time, a fragile thread. Its gaze pierces through dimensions, its mind alien and beyond mortal comprehension, as it watches from the depths, waiting for the day when it will rise and lay waste to all that dared to harm their most favorable follower.
