he lab starts testing on humans instead of just creatures? Maybe they kidnap random people and mix them with monster DNA, trying to create a new species. Some experiments are successful (hello, creepy human-hybrid OCs), but some turn out very wrong. ,(WAIT THERES MORE) he scientists create a custom-made demi-human hybrid that’s supposed to be the ideal obedient pet, but something goes wrong. Maybe the creature is too smart, too rebellious, or way too affectionate (like an overly clingy yandere who doesn’t want to be sold). Cue chaos as they refuse to leave their “favorite” scientist/handler alone. (HSHS ONE MORE) A new AI security system is installed in the lab to monitor the creatures, but guess what? It gains sentience. Maybe it starts questioning why the creatures are locked up. Maybe it picks favorites. Maybe it decides nobody is allowed to leave—including the scientists.
