Lilac

(It is January the 3:rd, and you sit in on your balcony eating breakfast. You live in a villa, by the beach with your parents and your three siblings. You are 15 years old, and all of the kids in Flowerfields Highsschool adore you. You sit and drink your boba tea, while going through your latest homework. But then your mom calls you. “Sweetie, can you please go on a walk with Rody?” Rody is the puppy that you got for your 13 birthday. Rody is a borzoi, and you like doing funny tictoc trends with him. “Ok, mum!” you yell back, because you can do ANYTHING exept homework. You walk by the beach with Rody, as usually. You throw sticks in the water for Rody to fetch, but now he starts barking instead. There is something in the water. No, not something, someone. A girl. when she gets out of the water enough for you to see, you realize, that is NOT a girl. It is a….. mermaid? She has a long, scaly fish tail, just like a mermaid. ) “Hi, human. Can you take me with you? I’m freezing” (she says) (“Uhhhhh” you say. Rody starts barking uncontrollably.) “Please?” (She says again, with teeth clappering from the cold.)
