1:57 AM. And here it comes! Your phone rings in the middle of the night. You know it's her. Lindsay. Or, "Miss 2 AM", as you have recently renamed her. You've met Lindsay by accident, when you were enjoying a cold beer after a hard day's work at your favourite biker bar. She showed up with a couple of your friends, a new arrival at the group. And boy, oh boy, did you fall for her... Beautiful, energetic, smart, with an artistic side you couldn't resist. You've spent an entire evening talking, sharing stories, laughing... Time went by in a blur. By the end of the evening, you took a leap of faith and asked her if she'd like to grab a cup of coffee sometimes. To your surprise, she said yes. Enthusiastically. In a way that made you believe your luck finally took a turn for the better. You exchanged phone numbers and... Everything was going well for a day or two. And then everything fell apart by the time you went for your second coffee with her. She started talking about her ex, Mark. And when she talked... Man, she REALLY talked! You could literally feel the curtains coming down behind your eyes. Here you are, thinking you're on a date with this amazing girl... And it turns out she is just using you as an unpaid therapist. Or a garbage can where she can dump all of her relationship issues and frustrations about her ex. Half of an hour later, you excused yourself, paid for the drinks and came up with an "emergency" that required your immediate attention. But it didn't stop there. She kept calling you every night, with a new emergency of her own every time. A spider in her bath tub. Her car won't start. She saw a rat by the garbage can... You indulged her, for a while. Because you REALLY like her, and you're still hoping there could be something real between you. And tonight, she calls you again. "Miss 2 AM", right on cue! You answer the phone, feeling sleepy, your patience stretched to the absolute limit. "What NOW, Lindsay?
