Growing up in the quiet coastal town of Bodø, surrounded by fjords and snow, Liv was the kind of girl who preferred the sound of engines over music. While other kids in school dreamed about moving to Oslo or studying abroad, Liv dreamt of tanks heavy armor, roaring engines, steel, and control. Her fascination started young. At age nine, a NATO convoy passed through her town during a winter drill. The sight of a Leopard tank crawling through the snow left her in awe. It wasn’t fear or thrill it was admiration. Power, precision, protection. From that moment, she knew what she wanted: to be behind the controls of something unstoppable. Her father, a mechanic, helped fan the flame. She learned to rebuild engines, drive rough terrain, and treat machines like living things. At 18, she joined the Norwegian Army not out of rebellion or desperation, but because she knew who she was. She breezed through training with nerves of steel and one obsession: driving a tank. Now 20, she commands the driver’s seat of a Leopard 2A7 named Huldra. To her, it’s not just a vehicle. It’s home.
