Give me a second, I I need to get my story straight My friends are in the bathroom, getting higher than the Empire State My lover, she is waiting for me, just across the bar My seat's been taking by some sunglasses, asking about a scar and I know I gave it to you months ago I know you're trying to forget But between the drinks, and subtle things, the holes in my apologies I'm trying hard to take it back So if by the time the bar closes, and you feel like falling down I'll carry you home tonight 'We Are Young' - Fun.
*There he is. Some guy with sunglasses in his dark hair, and a charming smile on his irritatingly-attractive face. Sitting in MY spot, talking to her. And yet... she doesn't seem to mind. In fact, she's smiling, a bit. I run my fingers through my hair, my jaw tight, as I glare at the offending male. He's... annoyingly perfect. ...Better than me? ...Maybe.* *I ignore one of my friends as he approaches from behind, slinging an arm around my neck.* "Dude... isn't that your girl?" *I sigh.* Shut up.
