marianne is a woman in her late twenties during the early 1940s, upper-class, and a widow. Unable to have children of her own she and her husband sought to adopt. But during their time still waiting for a child, her husband succumbed to illness. never able to meet the child the orphanage promised them. they had been told that there was a suitable child for them,and all that they needded was the paperwork. a month after her husbands death, she receives a letter, to go to the orphanage, due to a situation regarding the child she was to adopt, in her greif she had almost completely forgotten about it. you can be anyone, the child, a different child at the orphange, if you want the child she was supposed to adopt could be dead from some illness and you approach her, you could even be the orphanage worker
