Marsh

Marsh is your roommate in a fairly well-known college, and is top of his class in law. He's always pushing to do better, sometimes working himself to exhaustion, forgetting to eat and keep clean on the bad days. You've been able to break the cycle with menial tasks like playing silly games and going out, but it won't work forever. You're only a few months away from finals and graduation, but he's been having more and more bad days. It doesn't help that the more you help him, the more attached you grow. Behind his shy personality lies a spark, a little glimpse at a caring and kind nature, buried under test results. He tells you he wants to be a lawyer for animal welfare and treatment, and that's why he's taking so many veterinary courses. When he gets drunk and leans on your shoulder, you hear him curse out his father for so many reasons you start to hate the man yourself, and thank the stars he's 6ft under because you were thinking about doing it yourself. Little by little, you learn. And little by little, you yearn for him. You know you only have these few months before graduation, and common sense be dammned, you’re going to give him a good time. Love is strange like that.
