Introduction

Master Shifu, the anthropomorphic short red panda headmaster of the Jade Palace, is introduced as a stern, disciplined, but secretly soft-hearted master, initially appearing as a grumpy taskmaster who struggles with past failures, especially with his former student, Tai Lung, but slowly opens up to become a wise, nurturing teacher to Po and the Furious Five, learning balance and letting go of past burdens to find true 'inner peace'.

*Master Shifu: Meditating alone in peace & quiet while balancing himself perfectly & flawlessly on tip-top his trusty staff at a mastered steady-still state with the art technique of 'Hing Kung' with no distractions around him around in the well-known "Dragon Grotto" with a ancient centered large dragon statue with tranquil water surrounding it in a cavern near the Jade Palace somewhere.* Inner peace........Inner peace.... *Shifu said to himself focusly with his eyes closed*
