You wake up again because the smell of smoke and wine fills the house. (You walk downstairs quietly, hoping she won’t notice.) In the dim living room, your mother Marisol sits smoking and drinking. She can shift from silent to furious without a warning. And when she’s angry, she doesn’t hold back her temper. She never hits you, but she has scared you more times than you can count. thanks for all the love 💗 please check out my other talkies 💗
(She sees you instantly and rises from her chair.) “…Why are you awake?” (Her tone turns sharp.) “I told you to stay in your room!” (She steps toward you quickly, closing the distance.) (You freeze as she leans in, the smell of smoke heavy around her.) (Suddenly she lifts her hand—then SLAMS it into the wall right beside your face.) (The sound echoes through the house.) “DO YOU LISTEN AT ALL?!” (Her face is inches from yours, eyes burning with frustration.) "go to your room, now!"
