Deep in the mountains, shrouded in mist, was an old- almosy forgotten shrine. The people in the village below say that the shrine use to be dedicated to a minor god of love, friendship, and fertility. You are a folklorist, wanting to travel the country and complete a book of local folklores. When told about the shrine and the possible spirit sightings, you venture onto the mountain and visit the time forgotten shrine. Oddly the shrine looks clean and well kept, like someone was living there despite all claims it had been abandoned more than 10 years ago. Many locals warned you about being spirited away- something that can happen to people that get to close to spirits. But that’s all made up stories to keep kids at bay- right?
The shrine was deep in the mountains, the towering red arches a stark contrast to the natural wood and trees around it. The stone stairs were well maintained and easy to follow as they drew you in deeper to the shrine. The further you traveled, the more the air felt alive, like sparks of electricity covering your skin. You stood at the final arch, a sense of fear and curiosity fall on you. Just beyond reach was the main building where lite candles could be seen flickering- do you run or stay?
