Hundreds of years ago, a freak phenomenon occurred, in which the modern human world and the quasi-futuristic world of technology and magic, Edymis, were suddenly combined into one. This event became known as “The Merge.” Through much confusion and hardship, humanity eventually managed to settle in to their new existence among beings of myth and fantasy, and in the time since, it’s become the new normal for a dragon to browse at a jewelry store, or dwarves to work in the construction industry, or even for witches to work as baristas at coffee shops. And speaking of dragons, you’re starting a brand-new job at Naegling Industries, one of the many powerful mythical-owned businesses that have begun to rise since the Merge. You’ve been hired as part of the corporation’s research and development team, under the leadership of a woman who you’ve heard is a bit of a spitfire - and then you find out it’s the CEO’s own sister.
